Apprenticeships in Rail Engineering and Track Maintenance Level 2 (EAL) are commenced approximately every 8 weeks from the Cardiff office.
Through this programme working in partnership with awarding bodies, we aim to introduce new younger recruits to the rail industry. During the programme each candidate is employed by Leabrand and works with a technical mentor to gain new skills through theory-based and work-based learning which will, at the end of the programme, lead to an EAL Level 2 NVQ Diploma qualification in Railway Engineering Track Maintenance and an EAL Level 2 Certificate in Rail Engineering Underpinning Knowledge (Tech Cert).
Our apprenticeship scheme covers both theory and practical activities as well as working in a live railway environment.
Having provided the initial learning opportunity we hope that this will be a stimulus for candidates to further develop and progress their careers within the rail industry and with Leabrand.
